Arlene Critzos | Principal/President

Design visions have been a way of life for Arlene Critzos. She has a B.A. degree in design from Mount Vernon College and has earned Foreign Study League Art Degrees in the Decorative Arts in London, Holland, Rome, and Paris. When Arlene founded Interior Concepts in 1979, she quickly realized that by broadening the design capabilities of her company, she and her staff could work in multiple creative paths. This approach allows Arlene and her highly talented and tenured senior design group to create and complete work in the most professional manner. The firm creates a broad spectrum of designs from well-appointed family homes, beach homes, mountain retreats, large flats, and estates in some of the most prestigious addresses. Arlene and Interior Concepts, Inc. has worked in England, Spain, the Middle East, Malaysia, China, and the United States. Arlene is an active American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) member and has been published in numerous national and local magazines.


Juliet Casey | Chief Executive Officer

Juliet Casey has been an integral part of Interior Concepts, Inc. since joining in 2017. With a Bachelor's degree from George Washington University and a Master's in Business Administration, Juliet's education has been focused on business and technology, making her a valuable asset to the company. Juliet's technology and business solutions expertise has been critical in creating efficiencies and driving success for Interior Concepts. She is highly solutions-oriented, always seeking to implement the latest technologies and best practices to achieve operational excellence. As CEO, Juliet oversees the company's daily operations and sets comprehensive goals for business growth and success. She is committed to working closely with all teams and departments to ensure that all goals and objectives are met and that the company is positioned for long-term success.


Samantha Sopp-Wittwer | Lead Senior Residential Designer & MHD Design Manager

Sam has been with Interior Concepts since 2012. Interior design is more than just a career for her... It’s a passion. What is most important to her is finding the right balance between the client’s lifestyle and design - the result needs to function for their everyday living. She works on projects of all sizes, from complete design services for multi-million dollar homes to simply helping clients choose the perfect paint colors. In her tenure at ICI, Sam has worked on projects from coast to coast - Florida to Maine, Maryland to the Midwest, and a lot of places in between. Her work can be seen within the pages of Annapolis Home Magazine and Home and Design Magazine. Sam moved to Maryland from Minnesota, where she graduated in 2009 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design and started her design career working in Commercial Design.


Joyce Pearl | Lead Senior Residential Designer

A graduate of the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Joyce has been with Interior Concepts since 1983 and is experienced in Residential and Commercial Design. She does not have a signature style. Instead, she strives to create unique interiors that collaborate with her clients’ diverse lifestyles, budgetary guidelines, and project locations, along with her professional knowledge and guidance. “Making a difference” in her clients’ homes or work environments is her commitment.


Andrea Blamphin | Lead Senior Residential Designer

Andrea has been an Interior Concepts' Residential Design team member since 1993. Her education began at the State University of New York at Cobleskill and then at Cazenovia College to study Interior and Architectural Design. Andrea joined Interior Concepts after moving to the Annapolis area. With experience in all levels of residential design, she has been involved in large private residences in New York, vacation homes in Florida, private ranches in Montana, and residences in Maryland and Virginia. Andrea creates comfortable, clean, and functional spaces for her clients, tailored to their tastes and styles. With a broad range of experience in traditional and contemporary design, Andrea is committed to creating comfortable, unique interiors for her clients.


Courtney Griffin | Lead Senior Residential Designer

Courtney began her education by studying Art and Art History and then quickly developed an interest in interiors, obtaining a degree in Interior Design. She started at Interior Concepts in 2004 and enjoyed the challenge of creating beautiful interiors tailored to each client’s individual and personal style. Courtney has worked on many projects in various areas: beach homes in Sea Isle, New Jersey; luxury condominiums in West Palm Beach, Florida; mountain vacation homes in Big Sky, Montana; and many in the District of Columbia/Northern Virginia area. She is talented in all design styles - from contemporary to Tuscan traditional. Courtney prides herself on putting her client's needs first and making the design process easy, fun, and rewarding for her clients.


Megan Perry | Lead Senior Residential Designer

Megan joined ICI in 2022 after spending ten years in the Midwest practicing high-end residential and boutique hospitality interior design. She majored in Interior Design with a minor in Art and Architectural History and loves all things artistic. While she calls her style “well-traveled maximalist,” she can cater to various aesthetics and is always up for a challenge. Highly organized and detail-oriented, Megan is meticulous in her approach to project management and believes in striving for perfection. She loves color, texture, form and function, art, and artistic application. Her favorite thing about working in residential design is creating beautifully unique spaces for her clients to fall in love with, designing rooms that are an experience, and emphasizing each client’s way of living.


Megan Ligday | Senior Associate Residential Designer

Megan has been an integral part of the Interior Concepts family since she started as an intern while attending Radford University’s four-year design program. Megan officially joined Interior Concepts full-time at the end of her senior year, in 2014. Her early involvement has provided experience across various styles - from traditional to contemporary design. She moves forward today as a Residential Senior Associate Designer, co-creating aesthetically pleasing, functional interiors for her team to meet the needs & styles of her team’s clients.


Kelly Reese | Senior Associate Residential Designer

Kelly began working at Interior Concepts in 2015 as an intern – it didn’t take long for her to realize she had found a home. Since attaining her degree from the University of Virginia, Kelly has been an integral residential staff member, working on projects in various styles. She has a keen eye for detail and a deep passion for creativity. Kelly is willing to listen and get to know the client’s needs but also understands the importance of providing professional advice and keeping on budget. Her goal is to take the stress out of the process and create a beautiful space that invokes a sense of charm, style, and warmth.


Ann Pailthorp | Associate Residential Designer

Ann joined the team at Interior Concepts as an Associate Designer in 2023. Ann believes a home should reflect her clients' unique personalities and styles while also considering each room's functional needs and the property's inherent architectural style.  She appreciates a wide range of design and architectural styles and particularly loves a creative design challenge!  Ann completed her MA in Interior Design from the Corcoran College of Art and Design at George Washington University in 2010 but has worked in the design industry since 2001.  She enjoys working at ICI because it is run creatively and strategically, ensuring client projects are brought to life efficiently and professionally.


Morgan Humphreys | Associate Residential Designer

Morgan is from Frederick, MD, and a proud member of the ICI team since January 2022. A graduate of High Point University with a BS in Interior Design and a minor in Italian culture and language, Morgan draws inspiration from her passion for travel and global design. Her favorite part of the job is witnessing clients' joy as they experience their space's transformation. Known for her problem-solving prowess, Morgan's most significant contribution lies in her ability to craft tailored solutions that perfectly align with clients' needs. With an eye for detail and a commitment to client satisfaction, she consistently delivers projects that seamlessly blend aesthetics and functionality. Beyond her design endeavors, Morgan enjoys exploring new places and soaking up inspiration from diverse cultures, ensuring her work remains dynamic and innovative.
